The card artwork depicts a Cash Drop Sniper using a wired telephone to call an O:DS plane to drop off a crate by parachute. The telephone is visible in the in-game model if and only if using the On Reload function.
Cash Drop Sniper has less damage than Sniper Monkey and a bit less cash generation than Banana Farm for its cost, but allows the player to steadily build Gold while the opponent builds up resources in other ways. An aggressive player may be able to outrush a single Cash Drop Sniper placed early, and the cash generation is less consistent and a bit less efficient compared to farm; but the strength of Cash Drop Sniper comes from it being more versatile on defense compared to Banana Farm.
Cash Drop Sniper does 10 less damage than Sniper Monkey but 20 more damage than Leeching Shot Sniper. Notably, Cash Drop Sniper does just enough damage to pop an unbuffed Strike Bloon or Blooming Bloon, unless on Dark Castle where the one-shot is 5 damage off.
At 1 more Gold and making 3 Gold per 2 turns instead of 2 Gold per 1 turn, Cash Drop Sniper's cash generation is slower and less efficient than a Banana Farm, but has the advantage of an initial burst of damage and consistent damage per turn. It is best used in Tempo decks that feel they need a bit more defense and can’t reasonably include Banana Farm.
Ezili’s Totem can be used to get a solid 80 burst damage for 5, which can be useful for her as she may consider running Cash Drop Sniper in decks that involve Undead Bloons.
Striker Jones can use this card to make Gold while still being useful to increase the power of War Bonds.
If affected by Buddy Bloon, it’s on reload effect makes making a shot worth it anyway if Gold generation is more important than its damage.
This card existed in the data of the Firstlook test, but it was not accessible until the Full Playable test. It was named "Supply Drop Sniper" in the Firstlook test, but not in the 25th July 2024 teaser. A teaser image released in a developer diary on Reddit showed that it originally had 70 ATK instead of 65.
Version 6.4 buffed Cash Drop Sniper's ATK to improve justification for hybridizing damage and Gold generation, to the point where it became actually viable as a defensive option with Heroes such as Ezili and Striker Jones.[1]
