Hero Alt of Adora
Introduced Version 3.3

Fateweaver Adora is a Hero Alt of Adora in Bloons TD Battles 2, introduced in version 3.3. She costs  5,000 Monkey Money and Hero PointsAdora Hero Points 40,000 Adora Hero Points to unlock.

Fateweaver Adora's basic attack fires conjured weapons that seek Bloons out and can pass through line of sight blockers. Each projectile deals 1 damage to up to 5 Bloons, but cannot damage Purple Bloons or detect Camo Bloons. Compared to Adora, she focuses on debuffing the opponent and buffing herself from the actions of the opponent, instead of directly buffing herself or Super Monkeys. She is slightly more expensive than Adora, but levels up faster. As she levels up, her range, damage, and pierce all increase, she fires multiple conjured weapons at a time, she deals more damage to Fortified Bloons, and she unlocks additional attacks and debuffs.

  • Starting at level 2, she reduces the Activated Ability cooldowns of the opponent's Hero by 5%. At higher levels, she also applies this effect to all the opponent's towers.
  • She has three Activated Abilities:
    • Sharp Sting of Fate (level 3) — Throws a single seeking projectile that flies around rapidly damaging Bloons on contact, which can damage any Bloon type and can hit Camo Bloons. Its cooldown speeds up dramatically while under the effect of a Bloon Boost from the opponent. Its pierce, damage, and damage to Fortified Bloons increase at higher levels.
    • Eye of Misfortune (level 7) — Sacrifices a selected tower to remove XP from the opponent's Hero and speed up Bloons in range of that Hero for a short time. The amount of XP removed and the debuff duration depend on the value of the sacrificed tower.
    • Chains of Fate (level 10) — Places a trap on a targeted point on the track that heavily slows down and rapidly damages Bloons that pass over it for a short time. The damage it deals depends on the value of the opponent's most expensive tower.

Differences from Adora

Mechanics

Conjured weapons

Adora's basic attack fires projectiles every second that seek Bloons out, dealing 1 plasma-type damage with 5 pierce. The attack ignores line of sight and the projectiles can pass through blockers. Unlike most seeking projectiles, her projectiles will move 40% slower while turning, allowing them to make much tighter turns in the air to avoid missing their targets. Adora shoots multiple projectiles per shot at higher levels, which are spread 30° apart from each other.

Levels
Level Effect
2 Targeting range increases by 4 units.
4 Shoots two projectiles at a time instead of one.
5 Pierce increases from 5 to 8.
6 Shoots three projectiles at a time.
8 Shoots four projectiles at a time.
9 Targeting range increases by 5 units. Now deals +1 damage to Fortified Bloons.
11 Attack cooldown reduces from 1 second to 0.8 seconds, effectively increasing attack speed by 25%.
12 Shoots five projectiles at a time.
13 Pierce increases to 11. Damage to Fortified Bloons increases to +2.
14 Shoots six projectiles at a time.
15 Base damage increases from 1 to 2.
17 Attack cooldown reduces to 0.6 seconds, effectively increasing attack speed by ~33%.
18 Shoots eight projectiles at a time.
19 Targeting range increases by 5 units. Base damage increases from 1 to 2. Damage to Fortified Bloons increases to +3.

Bad Luck

Bad Luck unlocks at level 2. It passively increases the cooldowns of the opponent's Hero's Activated Abilities by 5%, or 10% starting at level 11.

Starting at level 16, it affects the abilities of all the opponent's towers, not just their Hero.

Abilities

Sharp Sting of Fate

Sharp Sting of Fate unlocks at level 3. It causes Adora to throw a large projectile that seeks out Bloons according to Adora's targeting. Like her main projectile, its projectile speed reduces by 40% while turning. It can pass through line of sight blockers and can target Camo Bloons. It deals 2 unstoppable-type damage, has 40 pierce, and can re-hit Bloons after 0.05 seconds. It lasts for 6 seconds or until it consumes all pierce.

This ability has a 50-second cooldown and a 12.5-second initial cooldown. It recharges roughly 5.55× faster while the player is under the effect of a Bloon Boost from the opponent.

Levels
Level Effect
4 Pierce increases from 35 to 80.
5 Pierce increases to 128.
6 Pierce increases to 192.
8 Pierce increases to 256.
9 Now deals +2 damage to Fortified Bloons.
11 Base damage increases to 3. Damage to Fortified Bloons increases to +2.
12 Pierce increases to 320.
13 Pierce increases to 440. Damage to Fortified Bloons increases to +5.
14 Pierce increases to 528.
15 Base damage increases to 5.
17 Base damage increases to 7. Damage to Fortified Bloons increases to +6.
18 Pierce increases to 704.
19 Base damage increases to 10. Damage to Fortified Bloons increases to +10.

Eye of Misfortune

Eye of Misfortune unlocks at level 7. It destroys a selected tower and applies two effects that depend on the total amount of cash that was spent on the sacrificed tower.

  • It applies "XP debt" to the opponent's Hero equal to the sacrificed tower's value. Any XP the Hero gains goes towards paying off the debt first.
  • It speeds up all Bloons within 50 units of the opponent's Hero by 50% for 0.3 seconds per $100 spent on the sacrificed tower. At level 20, its range increases to 65 units and its speed modifier increases to 70%.

This ability has a 30-second cooldown and no initial cooldown.

Chains of Fate

Chains of Fate unlocks at level 10. It places a trap projectile on the track, on the point closest to Adora by default, that rapidly damages any Bloons that pass over it and slows them to 1 unit per second (before round-based speed scaling). It can be set to any point within Adora's range using the targeting option, even behind line-of-sight blockers. It lasts for 6 seconds. It has a 60-second cooldown and no initial cooldown.

The trap deals 1 unstoppable-type damage, plus 1 per $1,000 the opponent has spent on their most expensive tower. It can rehit Bloons every 0.12 seconds and hit Camo Bloons. It can hit up to 450 Bloons at a time, and if its pierce is capped, it prioritizes the Bloons closest to its center. MOAB-Class Bloons consume more pierce:

At level 20, its duration increases to 12 seconds, its base damage increases from 1 to 2, and it gains 1 damage per $500 instead of $1,000.

Fateweaver Adora has retained her spot as the top hero in the highest arenas, with the new tight rushes not hindering her viability since Chains of Fate counters them exceptionally well. Given this, it seemed appropriate to limit the pierce on Chains of Fate, since infinite pierce was unnecessarily excessive for such a powerful ability.
— Update notes
Levels Changes
10+
  •   Chains of Fate is now pierce capped at 500 Bloons
  •   Chains of Fate uses 10 pierce to chain a MOAB, 20 pierce to chain a BFB, 40 pierce to chain a ZOMG/DDT, and 60 pierce to chain a BAD.
With Fateweaver still remaining a dominant hero particularly in the early/mid game, it leaves little room for other heroes like Quincy, as early game is meant to be his specialty. We’ve slightly upped Fateweaver’s base cost so that she’s not quite so efficient early on.

Levels Changes
All
  •   Placement cost increased ― $650 → $700
  • "Fixed Fateweaver Adora not changing visually as she levels up"
Sharp Sting of Fate felt underwhelming to use so we are increasing its pierce to make it more impactful.

Levels Changes
3+
  •   Sharp Sting of Fate: pierce increased ― 7 x main attack pierce x projectile count → 8 x main attack pierce x projectile count
