The Ice Monkey is a Primary tower in Bloons TD 6. It can be unlocked at levels 2 through 6.

The Ice Monkey attacks in a circle around it, freezing Bloons up to a pierce cap (40 at base tier) within its short range for 1.5s, as well as damaging them, with an attack cooldown of 2.4s. It has no targeting options, since it will either attack or not attack. When not upgraded to Tier 3 or higher, ceramic freeze duration is reduced by half. By default, it cannot target or affect MOAB-class Bloons. It can be placed on both land and water.

It can be upgraded to cause extra damage to Bloons, freeze more effectively, or use a powerful cryo cannon.

Although Ice Monkeys tend to have a high pierce, they are best used for their slowing and freezing utility.

Be cautious of pairing ice monkeys near monkeys that cannot harm frozen without the proper upgrades. Path 1, 4th upgrade (Embrittlement and Super Brittle) negates this.

022 Ice Monkeys can take out all non-special bloons, including the first golden bloon.

For late game, 5-2-0 is the best all around for damage and support. 0-2-5 is the highest damage, except for BADs. It can solo DDTs with camo detection from another source (e.g. a -2- Monkey Village). 0-5-2 provides the greatest support, slowing or freezing up to 300 bloons for other monkeys to attack.
