Bloontonium Saboteur is a Military Monkey card in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 3.0. It removes up to 6 Bloontonium from the opponent's Hero when it is played.
The card artwork depicts a Bloontonium Saboteur escaping a factory while purple explosions are created.
Tips

- Bloontonium Saboteur assists in limiting Bloontonium of the opponent, suppressing their defensive capabilities. 6 lost Bloontonium may seem minor, but for certain Heroes it can be a big deal-breaker.
- For Adora's Sun Shield, it can prevent two Sun Shields, stripping exactly the amount to leave her with one or no Sun Shields.
- Obyn Greenfoot control decks tend to equip few Bloon cards in their deck, since they'd only focus on having just enough Bloontonium to unlock Nature's Shield. Debuffing him this way will guarantee that his Nature's Shield is disabled, which could potentially deny a few turns of Shield if the Obyn has no way of building Bloontonium.
- Zee Jay OTK decks often keep their Bloontonium at 10 if they are preparing for an OTK with Rad Bloon. Playing BSabo at the right moment can force enemy Zee Jay to play more Bloons to get back to 10 Bloontonium.
- This card is generally outclassed by Haunting Night as a Bloontonium drainer, which although 3 Gold more can drain a lot more Bloontonium and gives the Bloontonium to the player. While this card also has some damage output after playing it, it isn't very useful against the control and Zee Jay OTK decks that Bloontonium drain is used for. For smaller Bloontonium disruption effects, the effect often is not impactful enough to justify Saboteur's middling damage.
- When playing against this, you will not know it's in the opponent's deck until its played, so having a backup method of gaining Bloontonium in your hand if a Bloontonium disruption effect could happen is often useful and can help immensely in countering this card. Spending lots of Bloontonium frequently will also reduce or nullify the impact of Bloontonium Saboteur.
- Some Heroes, especially Adora, may depend on Bloontonium during the opponent's turn.
- Bloontonium Saboteur is the only Military Monkey other than Mortars to have 1 delay. This is significant for Striker Jones, as it opens opportunities for his Orders Received and War Bonds.

Development
[edit | edit source]An increased On Play bonus to make the main benefit of Bloontonium Saboteur easier to use.[1] While not explicitly stated in OdysseyTOS's tester commentary, this makes Adora more vulnerable and also opens better to re-using the Monkey to substitute Bloontonium Leak.
