Strategy

[edit | edit source]

Tack Sprayer has poor performance against groups of Bloons due to its low pierce but it is cheap and effective against early MOAB-Class Bloons. It falls off in later rounds due to the sheer quantity of MOABs and BFBs that can spawn, although a 2-1 Monkey Village can help it survive for a while due to the essentially doubled pierce and increase to attack speed. It is also horrible at dealing with DDTs, as it doesn't have camo detection, often only fires 1-2 times before the DDTs slip by the bend, and on the Flash version of Bloons Monkey City, have the properties of a Lead Bloon, requiring a Monkey Intelligence Bureau to damage them. Monkey Knowledge is recommended to improve its pierce, but even with +3 pierce from Rank 13 and 14 it still lacks pierce compared to other options for its cost.

Tack Sprayer spam is also an excellent option against bosses due to its cheap price and being able to spam a lot of them, as well as being a great recipient of the MIB Call To Arms buff, further increasing its speed and pierce.

Tack sprayers do not necessarily need the range crosspaths, as the tacks travelling further is often not very effective at improving its hit rate.
