Heightened Perception is a type of Artifact in the Rogue Legends DLC for Bloons TD 6. It greatly increases the range of Primary Monkeys but in exchange, it halves the speed of their projectiles. Pat Fusty starts with the Legendary variant of this Artifact.
Strategy
Players need to be careful with which towers will be affected by the Artifact and their targeting, as although the increase in range is a good effect, the halved projectile speed means it might not be able to hit Bloons reliably when shooting towards the edge of their range, either by their projectiles expiring before they can travel the entire distance or by just outright missing. Towers with high projectile speeds like bottom path Dart Monkeys, or towers that attack on close range like Tack Shooters benefit the most from this artifact, however, middle path Desperados have anti-synergy with this Artifact as it also increases the pistol range significantly so they have more chances of using their pistol instead of the rifle.
In the late stages of a campaign, when using in combination with Unification-like Artifacts, it provides the most significant boost to range available for Towers in general which can make most Monkeys have nearly full map coverage when combined with Inspiration Artifacts and at that point the projectile speed penalty can be offset by using lifespan buffs like Added Preservatives which are more commonly available. The increased range is useful to spread buffs like Monkey Villages, Abyss Dweller or General's Disposition over a wider area.
