Monkey Bank is the Banana Farm's path 2 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons Monkey City. Instead of producing bananas, the Monkey Bank generates cash and stores it in its balance. It generates 45 packets of $10 per round, totalling $450 ($15 per packet and a total of $600 on the Flash version of Bloons Monkey City), then increases its balance by 10% at the end of each round as interest. It has a maximum capacity of $5000 ($7500 in the Flash version); upon reaching the limit, it stops producing cash until its balance is withdrawn. Its balance can be withdrawn at any time by pressing the "Collect Balance" button on its menu.

With Monkey Knowledge on Banana Farm, the Monkey Bank provides additional benefits:

• Ranks 4, 9, and 14: Interest in its bank account increases by 2% from the original amount (12%, 14%, 16%)
• Ranks 5, 10, and 15: With at least one Monkey Bank or above, the current cash stored at the end of the round is increased by 2%, 4%, or 6%.

Strategy

Due to the lowered round count of tiles compared to Bloons TD 5, Monkey Bank is simply not worth it in most situations due to its very high cumulative costs for its slow and inefficient reinvestment rate. However, with Rank 5+ Monkey Knowledge, a niche opens where it can generate a new method of interest based on the amount of cash in reserves. Only a single bank is needed to do this, so the rest of the farms should be Banana Research Facilities.
