Adora High Priestess
Adora's devotion compels her to strike Bloons down with furious vengeance. Cost $650 XP curve ×1.5 (type 1) Roles Defender Supporter Difficulty 4/5 Hero Alts Fateweaver Adora Introduced Version 3.1

Adora is a Hero in Bloons TD Battles 2, introduced in version 3.1. She costs  5,000 Monkey Money to unlock.

Adora's basic attack fires Divine Bolts that seek Bloons out and can pass through line of sight blockers. Each bolt deals 1 damage to up to 5 Bloons, but cannot damage Purple Bloons or detect Camo Bloons. As she levels up, her range, damage, and pierce all increase, she fires multiple Divine Bolts at a time, she deals more damage to Fortified Bloons, and she unlocks additional attacks and buffs, particularly for Super Monkeys.

• Starting at level 2, she buffs the pierce and range of all Super Monkeys within her range.
• At level 20, she can merge with a True Sun God to become Sun Goddess Adora.
• She has three Activated Abilities:
  • The Long Arm of Light (level 3) — Greatly increases her range, pierce, and projectile speed, and allows her to pop Purple Bloons and Camo Bloons, for a short time. At higher levels, it also buffs the damage of nearby Sun Avatars.
  • Blood Sacrifice (level 7) — Quintuples a selected tower's attack speed briefly, then sacrifices it, granting Adora extra XP and temporarily buffing her range and attack speed based on the value of the sacrificed tower.
  • Ball of Light (level 10) — Summons an orb that fires damaging lasers at Bloons from anywhere on the map for a short time.

Mechanics

Divine Bolt

Adora's basic attack fires bolts every second that seek Bloons out, dealing 1 plasma-type damage with 5 pierce. It ignores line of sight and can pass through blockers. Unlike most seeking projectiles, the bolts will move 40% slower while turning, allowing them to make much tighter turns in the air to avoid missing their targets. Adora shoots multiple bolts per shot at higher levels, which are spread 30° apart from each other.

11	Attack cooldown reduces from 1 second to 0.8 seconds, effectively increasing attack speed by 25%.
12	Shoots five bolts at a time.
13	Pierce increases to 12. Damage to Fortified Bloons increases to +2.
14	Shoots six bolts at a time.
15	Base damage increases from 1 to 2.
17	Attack cooldown reduces to 0.6 seconds, effectively increasing attack speed by ~33%.
18	Shoots eight bolts at a time.
19	Targeting range increases by 5 units. Base damage increases from 1 to 2. Damage to Fortified Bloons increases to +3.

Super Monkey buff

Starting at level 2, Adora applies a buff to all Super Monkeys in her range that grants them +1 pierce and +15% range. At level 11, it applies +2 pierce instead of +1 pierce.

Sun Goddess Adora

If Adora is at level 20 and in range of a Sun Temple when it is upgraded to True Sun God, Adora will merge into the True Sun God and become Sun Goddess Adora. This tower functions similarly to a normal True Sun God, but it gains two permanent Balls of Light and the Blood Sacrifice ability; Adora's other abilities are not transferred over. Additionally, Sun Goddess Adora cannot be sacrificed to other Sun Temples, unlike the True Sun God.

Abilities

The Long Arm of Light

The Long Arm of Light is unlocked at level 3. It applies the following buffs to Adora for 10 seconds:

• Double range
• +140% pierce
• +50% projectile speed
• +50% projectile size
• Double projectile lifespan
• Camo detection
• Can pop Purple Bloons

This ability has a 40-second cooldown and a 10-second initial cooldown. At level 16, its duration increases to 12 seconds and it grants +2 damage to all Super Monkeys upgraded to Sun Avatar and above within her boosted range for the duration.

Blood Sacrifice

Blood Sacrifice is unlocked at level 7. It causes a selected tower to attack five times as fast for 4 seconds, then destroys the tower. Upon being destroyed, Adora gains XP equal to four times the cash amount (which is affected by Energizer) and a buff for 10 seconds that depends on the the total amount of cash that was spent on the sacrificed tower.

• At level 7, the buff increases her range by 10% and reduces her attack cooldown by 10%, plus 0.4% per $100 spent on the sacrificed tower, capped at +50% range and -50% cooldown (double attack speed) at $10,000 spent.
• At level 20, the buff adds 0.8% per $50 spent on the sacrificed tower. The maximum range and cooldown buffs are the same, but it now only requires $5,000 spent. The duration increases to 20 seconds.
• True Sun Goddess divides the sacrifice value from level 20 by 10, but increases the cap to $30,000 spent.

Ball of Light

Ball of Light is unlocked at level 10. It summons an orb of light that orbits Adora in a small anti-clockwise circle for 12 seconds. The ball rapidly fires lasers at Bloons according to Adora's targeting. It has infinite range, can target and hit through line of sight blockers, and can target Camo Bloons. It deals 4 plasma-type damage every 0.05 seconds to up to 8 Bloons at a time and +4 damage to Fortified Bloons. It has a 60-second cooldown and no initial cooldown.

7	Blood Sacrifice: Briefly supercharge a targeted tower before sacrificing it, granting Adora large amounts of XP and boosting her attack range and rate of fire for a short time.
8	Shoots 4 Divine Bolts at a time.
9	Increased attack range and increased damage to fortified Bloons.
10	Ball of Light: Brings forth a powerful ball of energy to strike down the Bloons.
11	Adora increases attack speed and Super Monkeys in range get an additional +1 pierce.
12	Shoots 5 Divine Bolts at a time.
13	Divine Bolts pierce through even more Bloons. Increased damage to fortified Bloons.
14	Shoots 6 Divine Bolts at a time.
15	Divine Bolts burn through an extra Bloon layer, plus Ball of Light deals more damage.
16	Long Arm of Light becomes even more deadly and buffs Sun Avatars in range with +2 damage.
17	Adora increases attack speed even more.
18	Shoots 8 Divine Bolts at a time.
19	Increased attack range and damage.
20	Ball of Light is greatly improved, and Sacrifices are worth more and boost Adora for longer.

While Adora has demonstrated effectiveness in the later stages of the game, her performance is lacking early on, especially initially before she upgrades to shoot out multiple sparks. To address this, we have lowered the base cost and changed the leveling curve, so that she can reach some of the key early levels a little sooner.
