Blade Shooters are more focused on pierce compared to [[Tack Sprayer (BMC)|Tack Sprayer]]s and barely have enough attack speed and projectile size to consistently hit and pop Bloons below Ceramics, and thus work okay as a starting tower for cities with not a lot of tier 3s researched. The value of Blade Shooter's +1 pierce becomes less significant with higher MK, even with the lower cost with MK and the larger radius size, because of the many more denser tacks of Sprayers. On the multiplatform version, since no glitch to make them attack faster exists, it never becomes useful after enough Monkey Knowledge is given.

The editor who added this notice elaborates: How much Knowledge is needed to trigger the oversight?

Blade Shooter is the Tack Shooter's path 2 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons Monkey City. In addition to the tower shooting 10% faster, it replaces its tacks with blades which are larger, and have 2 pierce.

There is an oversight on the Flash version of Bloons Monkey City where enough attack speed boosts from Monkey Knowledge and Jungle Drums can cause this tower to fire once every frame, about 30 attacks per second.

Strategy

[edit | edit source]

Blade Shooters are more focused on pierce compared to Tack Sprayers and barely have enough attack speed and projectile size to consistently hit and pop Bloons below Ceramics, and thus work okay as a starting tower for cities with not a lot of tier 3s researched. It's worse than using other strong starting towers such as Bionic Boomer or Quad Darts, but can be done on Monkey Teams reliant on tack as a starting option.

The value of Blade Shooter's +1 pierce becomes less significant with higher MK, even with the lower cost with MK and the larger radius size, because of the many more denser tacks of Sprayers. This makes it completely outclassed until players can take advantage of the hypersonic attacks with high MK on the Flash version, making it stronger once again. On the multiplatform version, since no glitch to make them attack faster exists, it never becomes useful after enough Monkey Knowledge is given.

Always crosspath with Even Faster Shooting to further boost the attack speed of the blades.
