Flash Bomb is the Ninja Monkey's path 2 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons Monkey City. It occasionally throws flash bombs alongside its shuriken attack. Each flash bomb does 1 damage, pops many Bloons including Lead, and stun Bloons for a short duration.
In the multiplatform version of BMC, it is affected by a bug that increases the amount of explosions made per pierce increase added to the flash bombs.

Flash Bomb allows a limited amount of Bloon control but its slow cooldown makes it not consistent at group-popping compared to other options for its cost. Its innate Camo Lead popping is often handled cheaper with alternatives such as Signal Flare or Lightning Bolt with Monkey Sense.
In the multiplatform version, Flash Bomb becomes much stronger when affected by pierce buffs, mainly Monkey Fort and Ninja's Monkey Knowledge (specifically Ranks 3, 8, 13), duplicating the bombs and improving effectiveness at getting rid of Bloon rushes. That being said, its long downtime between shots makes it not fully reliable when not firing along consistent angles.
Ninja's Flash Bomb MK (Ranks 4, 9, 14) is significant enough to allow Flash Bomb to be affordable on the first round with high enough city level, even in range of a Village without needing to sell the Village.
Ninja Discipline is recommended because it also increases attack speed of the bomb. Sharp Shurikens is optional, being only useful when needing cleanup of fast-moving Bloons, and becomes less impactful with the aforementioned Ninja pierce MK.
