Sharp Shurikens is okay in the early-game, being a little more consistent against groups, but otherwise mostly a transition upgrade to its higher tiers. It's recommended to add [[Seeking Shuriken (BMC)|Seeking Shuriken]] to take advantage of the extra pierce so it won't struggle so much to spaced Bloons like Yellows and Pinks. Sharp Shuriken is not needed for [[Flash Bomb (BMC)|Flash Bomb]] unless starting rounds with it as the sole defender, as [[Ninja Discipline (BMC)|Ninja Discipline]] already gives it enough consistency.
