Banana Research Facility is the Banana Farm's path 1 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons Monkey City. Instead of generating bananas, it generates five crates of bananas, each worth $400, for a total of $2,000 per round. (In the Flash version, it instead produces 10 crates per round, each worth $300, for a total of $3,000 per round.) It is affected by Banana Plantation's extra banana Monkey Knowledge (Ranks 3, 8, and 13).

In the multiplatform version, upgrading a Banana Republic into a Banana Research facility in the middle of a round causes it to produce crates at the same rate as a Banana Republic for the rest of the round.

Banana Research Facility (BRF) gives the biggest boost of income and is the most efficient income generator per dollar, minus a single Monkey Bank's Rank 5+ end-of-round effect with high enough unspent cash. Buy it from a setup of many Banana Plantations and a single Banana Republic (or multiple on limited land maps), then sell enough Farms to rush the BRF. Then rush Valuable Bananas to maximize its income generation. If Village is enabled, always discount the Farm before upgrading, which will save a lot of money.

It is significantly more valuable in the multiplatform version. With the cash generation bug, it produces significantly more cash if bought mid-round, so any purchases of BRF from a Republic should be done at this point if possible.
