Airburst Darts is the Monkey Sub's path 2 tier 2 upgrade in multiplatform version of Bloons Monkey City. It causes the main dart to split into 3 airburst darts (with a 4th airburst appearing based on Monkey Knowledge, via Tanks 3, 8, and 13 increasing the rate) upon contact with the first Bloon. These darts deal 1 damage and have 3 pierce. The airbursts can hit the same bloon as the main dart, and crosspathing to Barbed Darts has no effect on the pierce of either dart attack.

Strategy

Airbursts are quite potent at dealing damage to even smaller MOAB-Class Bloons, especially when spammed on Lake and River tiles, to the point where enough of them can be the entire MOAB DPS. Ceramic cleanup towers are required due to the low pierce of the airbursts often making them blocked by clumps of Ceramic Bloons when trying to damage MOABs.

Crosspath with Advanced Intel to take advantage of the effectively global range of subs, and place down free Dart Monkeys from Monkey Knowledge and Portable Dart Monkey to provide range to the front lines.
