Desperate Defense is a Basic Powercard in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 3.0. It increases the ATK of all Monkeys on the player's side by 25 until the start of the player's next turn. The player cannot play it if they control no Monkeys.
The card art depicts a Dart Monkey and a Boomerang Monkey fearfully looking up at an approaching Bloon rush, while the other monkeys are running around in panic, at the Town Center map from Bloons TD 6.
Players should avoid adding too many of Desperate Defense in their decks. It's meant to be a last resort to boost friendly Monkeys, as its name suggests; too many of them may clog the hand at an inappropriate moment if unlucky.
Desperate Defense gives enough of a damage bonus to be useable for all stages of the game. For early stages, it works with decks with lots of cheap Monkeys such as Barrel of Monkeys, and later in the game allows players to cycle through any excess spare Monkeys to take advantage of the extra damage per shot.
Although the effect itself isn’t weak, the low amount of value this card adds to a deck makes it generally not a great choice in almost any deck. If you are going to use it, cards with high ammo are preferred, such as Frag Bomb Shooter or Glaive Ricochet.
