Essence Of Lych is a Legendary Artifact in the Rogue Legends DLC for Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 54.0. It causes all Tier 4+ Monkeys and Level 15+ Heroes to have a chance to summon Undead Bloons after projectiles expire. Undead Bloons spawn to the closest track location. Additionally, upon losing all lives, the game automatically restores all lives, then summons Undead BFBs and Undead ZOMGs at the back of all lanes. This life loss protection has up to 3 uses and this Artifact becomes banished if all uses are emptied.
Like all Boss Artifacts, this has a cost of 18 Artifact Power, so players cannot equip it as an Starting Artifact unless they have bought all the levels of the Starting Artifact Power upgrade from the Rogue XP Shop.

Development
Essence Of Lych existed in the game files since version 46.0, even before Rogue Legends released in version 47.0, but it was not obtainable at the time because Lych could not appear in Rogue Legends at the time. Its description prior to version 54.0 was "Tier 5 Monkeys and level 20 Heroes projectiles create clouds that trojan regular Bloons, stopping them from spawning children. Recover 10 lives each round for every tier 3 or higher Monkey on the field. Recover 5 lives for every ability used".
