Strategy

In the Flash version of Bloons Monkey City, Cleansing Foam is a very consistent way to neutralize any Camo, Regrow, and Lead threat, being better than any other alternative in the entire game. Only a single foam is necessary, making it much cheaper than a Radar Scanner Village, however since the foam is removed on each round it may still leak strays and placing a second Cleansing Foam still makes it cheaper by a slight margin. The ability to prevent all of these Bloon types makes it valuable in Monkey v Monkey, where multiple assaults can be placed. It is not always necessary to place the Engineer to target the foam in a single area, but to simply keep it away from other tracks so it can target the beginning of the lane.

On the multiplatform version of Bloons Monkey City, this tower is a lot weaker due to re-hits on the same Bloon eating up the pierce on foam puddles way faster and should instead be used as (if not expensive) damaging puddles with the MIB damage type glitch.

Crosspathing with Larger Service Area actively hinders the effectiveness of the foam, as it increases the range at which foam can be placed, while the foam wants to be placed in a single chokepoint. 9-Inch Nails and Larger Service Area are also far too expensive, and with limited Engineers per city there's no point to increasing their ranges.

  • This is the only decamo upgrade that requires building Camo Countermeasures before it can be researched.
