Because of its damage ramping over many rounds, the Wizard is best used in control decks when paired with cards that deal with swarms, and against high-HP bloons during its early stages. Its main weakness is early Bloon aggro from cards that can survive its attacks, such as Blooming Bloon.
If the Wizard is placed early, the Wizard will need two turns (one on Game Night) before it becomes immune to Bed Time, unless weakened by other sources such as Weakening Gas Bloon or Buddy Bloon.
Wizard is a safe candidate for Try this!, guaranteeing much more damage per round especially if it is placed for a long time, compared to Spike-o-Pult which has one whole round of downtime but better synergy with Try This.
Like other scaling Monkeys, watch out for Return to Sender, as this will reset its ATK back to base amount.
Description now uses the abbreviation "ATK" instead of "Attack Power"

Trivia
Data for the Wizard Monkey existed in the Firstlook test before it was introduced in the Full Playable test. It was originally named "Apprentice Monkey".
