This article details Blooncyclopedia's coverage policy. Bloons is not a particularly vast franchise, but it's important to have boundaries so you don't end up covering a ridiculous amount of irrelevant cruft (example 1 (Bloons Wiki)).

Things that we cover

  • All official Bloons media, including games, merchandise, and soundtracks, receive full coverage.
    • Bloons Adventure Time TD is just as much a part of Bloons as Bloons Monkey City, so the game gets the same degree of coverage, even for the stuff from Adventure Time. Only Adventure Time subjects that are relevant to BATTD receive coverage (sorry Lich), and only for their roles within the game. For example, it's fine to mention that Ice King is obsessed with princesses because that aspect of his character is also present in BATTD, but the fact that he used to be a human should be ignored because that is never acknowledged within the game.
  • All companies involved in the creation of Bloons media receive coverage. Their articles should mainly describe their involvement with Bloons and only list the Bloons media they were involved in. Modern Times Group is not currently covered because they appear to have very little involvement with Bloons besides owning Ninja Kiwi. Neither is NZ on Air, as they are only known to fund Ninja Kiwi Auckland and did little else.
  • Non-Bloons media that contains significant Bloons content or interacts with official Bloons media in some way gets coverage, but only for the content relevant to Bloons. For example, Ninja Kiwi Archive has an article, but it only covers the Bloons games it contains, and Wheel of Fate gets an article, but it only covers the Bloons-related prizes.

Things that we don't cover

  • Game platforms (iOS, Windows, etc.)
  • Game storefronts (Google Play Store, Steam, etc.)
  • Web game portals (Newgrounds, Armor Games, etc.)
  • Other Ninja Kiwi properties
  • Off-brand imitations
