Lead to Gold Monkey is a Magic Monkey card in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 4.0. When it attacks, it removes armor from the target before dealing damage. If the target had Armor, it generates up to 2 Gold.

The card artwork depicts a Lead to Gold Monkey joyfully throwing gold coins in a room full of gold coins and broken husks of Lead Bloons.

Tips

• If the opponent has plenty of Bloons with Armor, Lead to Gold makes Gold efficiently. Otherwise it's just a non-Military Sniper Monkey with 30 less ATK.
• There is counterplay to the Lead to Gold Alchemist. It has 2 reload, so it can't make money every round, and if the opponent doesn't spend much then the extra Gold would be useless.
• Even if it does make Gold from Armored Bloons, it ties with Banana Plantation for the lowest amount of Gold made per turn, at 1 Gold per turn, however the Lead to Gold Monkey's Gold gains can be controlled by the player.
• Lead to Gold Monkey does enough damage to one-shot Rock Bloons, and versus Stage 1 Dreadbloon (which always gives Armor to Rock Bloons), it is a reliable income source. It can also generate Gold from Dreadbloon itself if it has Armor, even while Immunity is active.

Development

This card originally had 30 ATK and 1 delay, however this was changed to 60 ATK and 2 delay. The first instance of the change was shown when Ninja Kiwi teased Striker Jones playing against Dreadbloon. The old stats were shown in the April 10th 2025 dev diary.
