Quantum Leap is a type of Artifact in the Rogue Legends DLC for Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 48.0. It changes the travel behavior of the projectiles of most Towers to instantly reach their targets, in a similar way to a Sniper Monkey and after reaching their target, they keep moving on their corresponding trajectory, but with their projectile speed reduced 95%. The Common variant only affects Monkeys up to Tier 2 and higher rarity versions increases the Tier cap, and Heroes are always affected regardless of their level.
The following towers and attacks are not affected by this Artifact:
- Monkey Aces
- Mortar Monkeys
- Sauda
- Pat Fusty
- Admiral Brickell
- Dan D'Monke
- Attacks that already reach their target instantly like like Snipers or Ezili.
- Attacks that travel along the Bloons path like Necromancer's Zombie Bloons.
- Attacks that don't target Bloons directly on the map like Spike Factory or Cleansing Foam.
Boomerang Monkeys are affected by the speed reduction but their projectiles are not teleported.
Tips
edit| This article or section needs cleanup to improve the way it presents information and/or comply with the style guide. You can help out by editing this article. The editor who added this notice elaborates: Restructure into a bullet point list per the strategy guidelines |
Using this Artifact completely changes the behavior of projectiles; players can think of them as a combination of Sniper (reaching their target instantly) plus Spike Factory (remains on the track for a while). Recommended buffs that have synergy with Quantum Leap are projectile lifespan and range, for example Heightened Perception or Added Preservatives.
However, this Artifact has a glaring weakness to spaced and MOAB-Class Bloons because most projectiles can only hit a Bloon once and will expire before the next Bloon on the track collides with it, making it waste most of its pierce, so any slowdown is important to group Bloons together.
