The number one way to support Blooncyclopedia is by contributing. Even small things, like fixing spelling and grammatical errors, are appreciated. If you really want to go above and beyond, though, there are more things you can do to support our community.
Indie Wiki Buddy
Indie Wiki Buddy is a browser extension that automatically redirects links to the Bloons Wiki on Fandom to our site. Using this extension makes it easier to find links to our site, and by clicking on those links, you help improve our search engine rankings.
Donations
Blooncyclopedia is ad-free and funded out of the webmaster's pocket. The webmaster likes it that way, but we'll gladly take donations if you want to pitch in and potentially help us afford better server architecture (such as frontend caching servers to reduce load times in other countries).
The only benefit to donating is getting your name added to our list of donors (it doesn't have to be the name of a wiki account, though we can include a link to that if possible). Donors don't get any secret features: no private Discord channels, no access to the evil reptilian lair, none of that.
Our current expenses (in USD and excluding taxes) are as follows:
- Servers: $24/month ($288/year)
- Server backups: $4.80/month ($57.6/year)
- Domain: $16.98/year (exact cost may fluctuate slightly depending on what mood the domain registrar is in)
How to donate
Donate on our Ko-fi page.
- If you have a wiki account and want it to be linked here, include it in your donation message.
- If you want an icon to be displayed next to your name on this page, also specify that in the donation message (it can be the name of a file on the wiki, or you can describe what the icon is/where it appears and what Bloons game it comes from).
- If you donated and want to have your username or link changed or removed, get in touch with the webmaster (see the privacy policy).
What a username with an icon looks like:
This icon could be referred to in the donation message by its file name (File:BTD6 Quincy RapidShotAA.png) or by calling it something like "Quincy's Rapid Shot icon from BTD6".
