Sheriff is a tower[fn 1] exclusive to the Frontier Legends DLC for Bloons TD 6. He is controlled by the player while exploring the DLC's setting and can be deployed as a tower during Bloon Encounters. While deployed in battle, his attacks and abilities depend on his equipment. Players can also change the in-game name of Sheriff and choose a Pet to follow him. Some of his stats, such as damage and range, can be improved by buying upgrades at the General Store in Sandytown.

Giddy Up is the Sheriff's exclusive ability which doubles the attack speed of himself and all other Monkeys in range, but in exchange the members of his Posse consume 1 more point of Stamina per round. It can gain additional effects based on the equipment of the Sheriff. Unlike other abilities, it does not have fixed duration and instead it consumes a type of energy called Morale while is active at a rate of 4% per second. The players can turn on and off the effect of Giddy Up at any moment by clicking on the ability button (the activation has a cooldown of 3s). This is similar to the mana system for Magus Perfectus where players can switch between its regular attacks which drains mana and a drain beam to recharge it.
The amount of morale that Sheriff has to use his ability is shown in a bar above his portrait and players can increase the maximum amount by buying upgrades at the General Store. Morale will recharge passively while the ability is off at a rate of 0.5% per second.
Internally, Sheriff's Morale is an integer between 0 and 1,000 which translates to 0% to 100% in the UI. When Sherif has an equipment or General Store upgrade that increases his Morale, the internal maximum Morale amount will be increased accordingly, but will still be shown as 100% in-game and for the player it will seem to be draining slower. For example, if Sheriff has the Recreational Horse Toy equipped, his maximum Morale will be increased to 1,500 and Giddy Up will still drain 40 units per second, but to the player, it will now appear as it is draining 2.7% Morale per second.
Equipment
As the player progresses through Frontier Legends, they can obtain equipment from certain NPCs, inside loot chests, and some other methods. They determine Sheriff's stats during Bloon Encounters: hats and outfits apply passive bonuses, while weapons determine Sheriff's main attack. Additionally, some items have effects outside of encounters. The player can change Sheriff's equipment at a Campfire or at the Homestead in Sandytown.
