Banana Research Facility is the Banana Farm's path 1 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD Battles 2. It produces five banana crates per round instead of bananas. Each crate is worth $600, so it produces a total of $3,000 per round. With Valuable Bananas, each crate is worth $750 and it produces a total of $3,750 per round. Additionally, Banana Research Facilities gain a buff from Banana Central that increases value of each crate by +20%.

Banana Research Facility (BRF) is a cost-efficient Tier 4 Farm, especially when crosspathed, making a lot of income. For most Farm strategies, obtaining a BRF is the optimal route for income, unless pursuing the high-storage 2-4-0 and quick 0-4-1 IMF Loan into Monkey-Nomics.
For crosspaths, 4-0-1 is optimal in standard gameplay, as buying Quality Soil before BRF will snowball income more efficiently; it's not only cheaper, but more cost-efficient than the 4-2-0. However, once a Banana Central is bought, 4-2-0 is preferred to maximize income.
