Bloon Trap is the Engineer Monkey's path 3 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD Battles 2. It allows the Engineer Monkey to deploy traps onto the track which collect and insta-kill Bloons. Each trap holds up to 500 RBE of Bloons, and once full, or overflowed, the trap can be collected for cash. Collected traps generate up to $750 from natural Bloons, at a cash-per-RBE rate of $1.5 for natural Bloons and $0 for sent Bloons. The traps do not affect MOAB-Class Bloons, nor Camo Bloons unless the Engineer could see Camos before deploying the trap. Selling a Bloon Trap Engineer doesn't remove its trap.
Crosspathing with Larger Service Area allows traps to be repositioned and autocollected before getting full, and Faster Engineering decreases the cooldown to deploy a new trap by 40%.

Bloon Trap excels at making income during the mid-game on maps where the Bloon sends are separated from natural Bloons. The best time to place it is about Round 18 onwards, especially for Rounds 19—22, as an Engineer user should focus on eco and Farms before the Bloon Trap maximizes its own income generation rate enough to pay off quickly. Traps alone can be used for emergency pickup of Ceramics and small leaks, but should be a last resort when microed lightly. Note that Trap anti-stalls, which is favorable for Farm users, but also can slow an Engi-Farm user from buying more Farms.
0-1-4 is preferred in most cases, since it can actively avoid stealing pops, while 2-0-4's increased trap rate is only better if Bloons are spawncamped enough that sentries won't steal pops (or else Sentries must be manually sold often).
