===Development===
While the Beast Handler released in {{BTD6 version|36.0}}, assets for the tower, such as buff icons and upgrade descriptions, existed in the game's data in {{BTD6 version|35.0}}. While the names of the upgrades are unchanged, the early descriptions are different. They suggest its beast system worked completely differently, requiring having multiple Beast Handlers with the same upgrade to access higher tiers (a mechanic only used by the tier 5 upgrades in the release version), and make no mention of Beast Power.
