Horned Owl is the Beast Handler's path 3 tier 2 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. The Beast Handler now handles a horned owl instead of a gyrfalcon. Its Beast Power is increased by +2, changing its Beast Power scale from 1 to 3–6.
The Horned Owl gains Camo detection, has improved pierce and grabbing radius, and can grab 1 (up to 3 at Power 6) Ceramics at a time. Ceramics consume +4 pierce, and it cannot pick up an extra Ceramic if its pierce would overflow. Beast merges increase its attack speed, pierce, and flight speed, and at max power also increases its damage from 1 to 2.
Unlike the other Beast Handler paths, which only gain intel range from merged Handlers with ranges that intersect with its range, Horned Owl (and all succeeding upgrades) can gain intel range from Handlers merged from anywhere on the map.

Horned Owl is an excellent choice for stalling Ceramics. Low-power Horned Owl is often used as a round stall in late-game CHIMPS to recharge abilities, as well as Boss Events to stall T1 Boss rounds. Its camo-popping is quite weak, and should be paired with more reliable options.
Merging into Horned Owl is usually not needed, unless specifically wanting extra range (one Gyrfalcon is often enough) or the pickup of up to 3 Ceramics at once against the Round 40 MOAB. Avoid hitting max beast power if using as a stall, as the increased damage will cut the time it can stall significantly.
