Psi's basic attack inflicts psionic vibrations on the target, which freezes it in place, then instantly destroys the entire Bloon after a short delay that depends on the strength of the target. They can attack Bloons anywhere on the map, even through line of sight blockers, and are always able to see Camo Bloons, but they cannot target Lead, Purple, Ceramic, or MOAB-Class Bloons initially. As they level up, their psionic vibrations destroy Bloons faster, they gain the ability to target more Bloon types, their psionic vibrations gain additional effects, and they gain Activated Abilities that inhibit Bloon movement.
Starting at level 4, their attack can affect multiple Bloons near the target.
Starting at level 8, their psionic vibrations damage other Bloons near the target when it pops.
At levels 9 and 17, they gain a copy of their attack with different targeting, allowing them to target multiple Bloons at a time.
Psi has two Activated Abilities:
Psychic Blast (level 3) — Emits a shockwave around Psi that stuns Bloons for a short time. At higher levels, this spawns multiple shockwaves with a short delay in between.
Psionic Scream (level 10) — Inflicts half of all the Bloons on-screen with psionic vibrations, and the other half with blowback, at random. Level 20 guarantees psionic vibrations.

Psionic vibrations
Psi's main attack places psionic vibrations on the target. This attack has infinite range, can target through line of sight blockers, and can target Camo Bloons. When a Bloon is inflicted with psionic vibrations, it freezes in place and becomes untargetable by all towers for a short time, then is instantly destroyed, leaving no children. This attack has an attack cooldown of 1 second, but it does not start until after the psionic vibrations have destroyed the target.
Psionic vibrations are similar to damage over time in that they apply "damage" according to a "tick rate", but instead of dealing the damage on each tick, the effect counts the damage it would have dealt, then instantly destroys the Bloon once it would have taken enough damage to be fully popped from the total damage. In other words, the time it takes for psionic vibrations to destroy a Bloon is based on the Bloon's combined health of each layer, the "tick rate" at Psi's current level, and the "damage" it would deal at Psi's current level. By default, it deals the equivalent of 1 damage per 0.2 seconds. It also destroys the target instantly after 15 seconds, or 3 seconds if it is the final Bloon in a round (to prevent stalling). This can be expressed with the following formula:
"Tick rate" reduces from 0.2 seconds to 0.15 seconds, effectively reducing the time it takes to destroy a Bloon with psionic vibrations by 25%.

Each attack creates a small "splash" projectile with 1 pierce and a radius of 6 units centered on the target, which inflicts psionic vibrations on Bloons it hits. This splash can only hit Bloons the main attack can target, except MOAB-Class Bloons, which it cannot hit at all. It is affected by pierce buffs.

Attack cooldown reduces from 1 second to 0.85 seconds, effectively increasing attack speed by roughly 17.6%, without affecting the time it takes for psionic vibrations to destroy Bloons.

Split the Mind
Starting at level 9, Psi gains a copy of their psionic vibrations attack that has the exact same properties, except it does not follow Psi's targeting. It has Elite targeting, but its First targeting triggers when a Bloon reaches 50% of the track length instead of 75%. At level 17, Psi gains a third copy of the attack that always targets First, but prioritizes MOABs and Ceramic Bloons.

Psychic Blast
Psychic Blast unlocks at level 3. It triggers a blast that stuns one layer of up to 200 Bloons within 60 units of Psi when activated. The stun lasts for 6 seconds for non-MOAB-Class Bloons and 1.5 seconds for MOAB-Class Bloons. It does not affect BADs or Boss Bloons. It has a 40-second cooldown.

Psionic Scream
Psionic Scream unlocks at level 10. It targets up to 2,000 Bloons on-screen, prioritizing the Bloons closest to Psi. Each Bloon targeted has a 50% chance to be afflicted with psionic vibrations (with the same properties and Destructive Resonance as Psi's main attack at their current level, but without the splash projectile) or a 50% chance of being blown back by 100–250 units. It only targets Bloons that Psi's main attack can target. It has a 60-second cooldown.
At level 20, Psionic Scream always inflicts psionic vibrations.

Psi excels on Advanced and above maps, due to their higher value from leveling up faster, and their favored game mode is CHIMPS. Psi has no trouble on obstacle-heavy maps and can attack anywhere, but placement is still important for the Psychic Blast ability (try a Monkey Buccaneer to roughly measure the ability's radius). During mid-game, Psi excels at eliminating 3 of 4 Ceramic children from MOABs (requires level 7), and reducing RBE from rounds, including dense rounds (level 10). They get significantly stronger once they're able to instakill MOABs and BFBs (levels 14 and 16, respectively). Their DDT and ZOMG instakills at level 20 are powerful, however requires Energizer to feasibly obtain this level naturally.

We felt that Psi’s early game too easily carried into some extremely powerful endgame setups.
