Blade Maelstrom is the Tack Shooter's path 2 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD Battles 2. It grants an activated ability, which causes the Tack Shooter to fire twin blades in opposite directions that spiral around the tower clockwise (or counter-clockwise with the More Tacks crosspath). The ability fires blades 30 times per second, with each blade dealing 1 damage and having 200 pierce. These blades are blocked by obstacles, as well as lead and frozen bloons. The ability lasts for 3 seconds and has a cooldown of 20 seconds. Apart from More Tacks reversing the spiral direction, the ability is not affected by any crosspaths.
Blade Maelstrom and other tier 4 and above Tack Shooters also have slightly elevated lines of sight compared to tier 3 and below Tack Shooters.
