The Dart Monkey is a Primary tower in Bloons TD 6. It attacks by throwing darts that each pop up to 2 Bloons (3 with Extra Dart Pops). Its darts cannot damage Lead Bloons or frozen Bloons. It can be upgraded to hurl bouncing spiked balls from catapults, throw more darts per shot and transform into miniature Super Monkeys, or operate a crossbow that shoots high-damage bolts.

The Dart Monkey has the lowest cost of all Monkeys in Bloons TD 6. Its cost-efficient nature and inexpensive upgrades allow it to function very well in the early-game.

• Dart Monkeys are extremely useful for defending against the opening rounds of CHIMPS, even on Advanced and Expert maps. Common starts include three Dart Monkeys, Dart + Sub, Dart + Sniper, and Dart + Engineer.
• Path 1 of the Dart Monkey converts the tower into a machine that fires spiked balls with high Pierce. They are strong against Ceramics and grouped Bloons. The balls will also bounce off line of sight obstacles, making the tower most effective when placed near these obstacles.
• Path 2 focuses on increasing the number of darts thrown, eventually unlocking a powerful ability that temporarily turns many nearby Dart Monkeys into Super Monkeys.
• Path 3 grants the Dart Monkey a crossbow, allowing it to pop multiple layers of Bloon each hit. Its good damage, range, and Camo detection enables it to function effectively in the early- and mid-game, especially when placed near straight lines.
• The Apex Plasma Master is the least expensive of all Paragons, making it a viable option against Tier 3 and 4 Bosses. With the second Crossbow Master from the Master Double Cross Monkey Knowledge, one can build a Degree 20+ Paragon with little additional investment. Like the Dart Monkey's top path, it is most effective when there are obstacles for its projectiles to bounce off of.
