Armor Piercing Darts is the Monkey Sub's path 3 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD Battles 2. It increases the damage of the Monkey Sub's main darts from 1 to 3 and damage to MOAB-Class Bloons to +3, increases the damage of the airburst projectiles from 1 to 2 and damage to MOAB-Class Bloons to +1, and increases the pierce of the airburst projectiles from 2 to 5.

Armor Piercing Darts is effective against both Bloon and MOAB-class rushes. Setting to Strong is usually preferred. Both 2-0-4 and 0-1-4 (0-2-4 if lead-popping is not present) are useful crosspaths, though 0-1-4 is preferred versus a grouped rush and 2-0-4 should be used only if following an early MOAB.

The bottom path sub is often neglected for the top path Reactor and the middle path First Strike upgrades. While this damage buff may look minor, it stacks quickly due to the high attack speed of the bottom path sub and the xx5 Sub Commander’s ability to double the damage of other subs. We hope this will make the bottom path sub a more appealing choice for DPS on maps where space isn’t an issue while preserving the middle path’s identity as elite MOAB stopping power.
