Laser Cannon is the Dartling Gunner's path 1 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD Battles 2. Instead of darts, it fires lasers that deal 2 Plasma-type damage (can pop Frozen Bloons and Lead Bloon but not Purple Bloons) with 5 pierce, faster projectile speed, and no random offsetting. Additionally, shock duration is increased by 1 second. Powerful Darts grants +3 pierce (from 5 to 8).

Strategy

Laser Cannon provides a boost in single-target DPS and general damage, being more effective at breaking apart stronger Bloons, but has a major weakness to Purples. It is best paired with Hydra Rocket Pods to offset its Purple weakness and also deal with weak clumps that Laser Cannon can't do alone, as well as being better against isolated Ceramics and MOABs.
3-2-0 is generally better for the innate camo detection and maximized attack speed, which gives more overall benefit than 3-0-2 even though the latter gives +66% base pierce instead of +50% attack speed.

Dartling has always had a decent presence in the meta, however it’s also always had some subpar upgrades, such as Laser Cannon and Ray of Doom. Since the top path leads on to 4xx Plasma Accelerator which already has no spread in its aim, we have passed down this accuracy to 3xx Laser Cannon, so that it can be more precise in its long distance accuracy.
