Absolutely Zero’s buff to Ice Monkeys is one interesting and obscure feature that many people may not know about, especially since the buff was not particularly significant. We have made this buff much more noticeable and included Fusty the Snowman so that it’ll hopefully now receive some more attention. — Update notes
Ice Monkey is useful for early game defense and late game support with stalling and debuffing, but provides pretty much no MOAB class damage with any of its upgrades. We would like to give it a bit more to offer by allowing Icicles to attack and damage MOAB class bloons. It won’t deal massive damage to them but it can be greatly buffed by Fusty the Snowman, so we will be curious to see what impact this change has. — Update notes
Absolute Zero lacks utility, not offering enough for its cost. We have added another benefit of using it, as well as reducing the cost of Ice Shards, in order to encourage Ice Monkey’s usage. — Update notes
We are reducing the power of Ice Monkey’s Deep Freeze and Snowstorm upgrades to make it easier to rush in the early and mid game and increasing the cost of the xx4 Icicles upgrade since this offers too much value for its cost. — Update notes
Ice Shards is very strong despite recent nerfs and Snowstorm has become very powerful now that people are understanding how to use the attack speed buff more effectively. Some small nerfs to these two upgrades should hopefully pull them back in line. — Update notes
Snowstorm is still an extremely effective stalling tactic, even with last update’s nerfs. We are increasing its price further in order to make it less efficient to micro. — Update notes
