We’re really excited about the recent rise in Bomb fame, and we want to encourage this by buffing some of the detracting parts of Bomb Shooters. But larger groups of basic T3 Maulers are now performing far too well against everything when they are intended to be more of a MOAB Specialist. This change means little in the early game, but should pull these groups back a little in more higher round gameplay. — Update notes
Some low tier Bomb pierce has been shifted further up into the 2xx Heavy Bombs upgrade to effectively nerf 130 Mauler meta in price, but the price of these upgrades and MOAB Damage of T4 Maulers have both been buffed to benefit other variations of bomb better. Bloon Impact’s price was increased as it didn’t need to benefit from this buff, and a buff was made to 502’s Bloon Impact’s frags to alter this underused crosspath. — Update notes

0-0-0 base tower 0-1-X Faster Reload and further upgrades 0-X-1 Extra Range and further upgrades
In some cases the effort to make upgrades feel powerful eclipsed the need for monkey tower weaknesses to be supported by path or other tower synergies. Reviewing the state of White compared to Black Bloons we feel it no longer makes sense for Bomb stall path to ignore inherent Bomb weakness compared to Ice, which can’t fully get around it’s weakness until T5. MOAB Maulers have been a very strong meta spam for a while now, so we are chipping off most of its ceramic bonus at T3. — Update notes
While MOAB Maulers are a current popular meta the base bomb shooter is unaffordable early on for the little contribution it can make at early levels when not much pierce is really needed, so some cost has been moved out of the base upgrade and into the Mauler with an overall price increase to Mauler. We’ve acknowledged that Frag Bombs have felt like an inconsistent crosspath both in what they add to the tower and what they lose when upgraded further on their own path, so now in addition to frags popping Black Bloons xx2+ will allow all attacks from the tower to pop Black. — Update notes
The Frags crosspath for top path Bomb Shooter has always been quite a poor choice, trying to compete with attack speed as a benefit for stun utility isn’t going to ever work out so we have instead gone the route of turning the frags crosspath into a DPS/Stun hybrid with a lot of small buffs to frag power. — Update notes
Cluster Bombs has far superior pierce over top path which is the actual pierce path while also providing better overall cleanup power, so for now we’d like to reign those in a little closer. — Update notes
Upon closer inspection, Recursive Cluster has been hitting pierce in the 100’s, far more than was really intended for it so we are pulling back on this but adding in some fortified bonus to cancel out this large weakness the upgrade has. — Update notes
MOAB Assassin fills a useful role of a pure long cooldown ‘single target assassination’ in the game, but when compared to something like First Strike it feels a little lacking that it is unable to carry damage through MOAB Layers — Update notes
We wanted to add something unique to Bloon Impact while also improving Really Big Bombs very slightly as a stepping stone into it, so now both of these upgrades will become capable of pushing back Bloons that they hit – even if they are stunned or frozen! This allows Bloon Impact to now catch groups of Bloons in a stun net and slowly push them back the way they came while keeping them stunned. Recursive Cluster is also having the pierce of the recursions increased a little again; while we felt it needed a nerf earlier, the amount cut from it last time was too high. — Update notes
Slight price reduction to Really Big Bombs, it is meant to be a stepping stone upgrade into Bloon Impact but neither of these upgrades are standout right now. A while ago Frag Bombs was reworked to give Bomb normal type damage however we were not happy with the results of that change in the end, we didn’t want to go back and remove that again without giving back something nice in return so it has taken a while but now we have decided to go ahead with changing that back along with swapping out Recursive fortified damage for raw damage which we hope also improves crosspathing as the damage crosspath isn’t such a large increase over the base damage anymore. — Update notes
In efforts to bring more player control the MOAB Assassin ability will now follow tower target priority to determine its targets, although note it will still never target non-moabs. — Update notes
Bloon Crush does its job locking down all movement in an area, but we feel it could see more damage to reduce the stall time without the balance really changing much. Bomb Blitz was recently refitted to a cheaper price range while proportionally keeping a similar power level for the cost, however seeing it now in this spot we feel keeping higher damage will give it the edge it needs to feel more impactful than spamming Recursives. — Update notes
Base bomb price is now also lowering to allow more starting combinations to utilize it, this reduced price is moving up only into MOAB Assassin. MOAB Eliminator has solidified itself quite a strong position so price is increasing here, however as it still appears lacking Bomb Blitz which still is swapping with that cheaper price point. For a crosspathing trial we’re removing the limits on Frags buffability & also giving more of a range boost to Extra Range. — Update notes
Description changed ― "Huge bombs deal greater damage in a large area and allow Frags to pop more Bloons." → "Huge bombs deal greater damage in a large area and knock Bloons back along the path."
“
Compared among similarly priced hybrid AoE/supports, Really Big Bombs is a lacking stepping stone so we’re improving its damage and granting much more pushback. Even without the ability popping Black, Eliminator has been doing fine, so we are finishing off removing the Normal type on the main projectile. — Update notes
Bomb Shooter’s base pierce is plenty for the early game but low enough that 1xx crosspath feels too important later, we’re shifting pierce out of crosspath into the base upgrade to alleviate this. Players found the recent increased coverage of 024 recursive too much, but we like the functionality so we’ve tightened the spread for the base xx4 recursive to make 024 about the same as it was before but 004 even tighter. Bomb Blitz has been upgraded to double attack rate from the previous tier. — Update notes
Nudging Bloon Impact price down, pushing it more in line with other early support options & as this is a support path. Frag damage is being greatly improved all the way up as there’s little reason to trade stun uptime for improved damage. Moving some cost up into MOAB Assassin so Maulers have more leeway early game & en masse. Cutting down roughly 10% on all bottom path upgrade costs as especially on Bomb Blitz even after recent buffs there are many downsides that need to be covered to use this path effectively. — Update notes
While we’ve had fun with Bomb Blitz recently, it has been pushed too far, and especially as more use has started coming out for its passive ability — Update notes

Main attack and ISABM ability: Cannot longer detect Camo Bloons (bug fix)
Note: Blitz Tactical Storm still affects Camo Bloons
Previously increasing the Bomb Blitz cooldown once the passive became much more powerful felt like a mistake, instead we want to bring that back and push the price up to something more fitting again instead. [...]
Similar to previous changes for abilities on paragons, as Bomb Paragon’s main attack is quite slow we have decided to tilt its power more directly to MOABs than just bosses. So its damage & MOAB Damage bonuses are being scaled up so that outside of the ability it should hit for much chunkier explosions whenever it attacks. — Update notes
MOAB Assassin has traded the small ceramic bonus for MOAB-Mauling frag synergy, and to make things more frag-tastic the ability now also synergizes with frags for added flair. — Update notes
Deals much more damage and gains the passive Bomb Storm Ability - when lives are lost, the Bomb Storm automatically triggers, which destroys all but the biggest of Bloons.

Bomb Paragon is in a spot it seems to perform well, but it still doesn’t see a good spotlight in boss events so we’ve scaled up the Boss Bonuses with a bump in price. — Update notes
