Plasma Accelerator excels against both Tight rushes and single-target damage, with its only major weaknesses being the need for micromanagement and its Purple weaknesses. When bought soon enough, it can handle any Tight Lead and Tight Ceramic rush. Its single-target damage is great if it focuses on one blimp (or a few) at a time. It can assist against Tight MOABs and above by focusing a few targets a time, but needs more to deal with dense groups due to the limitations of its special damage mechanics. | |||

Plasma Accelerator is the Dartling Gunner's path 1 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD Battles 2. It replaces its lasers with a continuous beam that extends to the tower's target location. The beam hits every 0.2 seconds with 40 pierce and 1 damage. The tip of the beam is wider. If the beam and tip have remaining pierce, it deals 2 damage and +10 MOAB damage.
