Revision as of 17:53, 23 January 2026 by Qwertyxp2000(talk | contribs)(probably should get started in wiz strategy but I don't use wiz enough to make this section)
The Wizard Monkey shoots small magic bolts that can pop frozen Bloons, but cannot pop Purple Bloons or Lead Bloons. Each bolt does 1 damage and has 3 pierce. The Wizard has 40 range and attacks every 1.1 seconds.
It can be upgraded to greatly increase the power of the magic bolt, add a vast array of fire attacks, or use dark magic to reveal camo Bloons and summon undead Bloons.
A list of Monkey Knowledge that are specific to the Wizard Monkey. Does not include Monkey Knowledge that are specific to the Magic class or all towers.

This strategy section is empty or incomplete. See the strategy guidelines for more information on how to write strategy sections. The editor who added this notice elaborates: this should contain a few basic tips, details should be saved for the strategy article. Note: proposed strategy beginning: The base Wizard is a much weaker Dart Monkey, but its upgrades are versatile.

Though it was never a goal for the base tower to be great, given the additional purple weakness since BTD5 and how poorly it currently performs we feel it deserves to take rank as the cheapest magic tower along with a small buff. — Update notes
As base Wizard shines in no way & doesn’t lead into any immediately good cheap lower tiers aside from Wall of Fire, the base price is being slightly lowered at the cost of an increase to Wall of Fire. — Update notes
Wizard has a weaker base tower so the base cost is going down in exchange for a small price increase to the cost to value ratio for the effective Arcane Mastery. — Update notes
Base Wizard mostly struggles to compare to base Dart Monkey anyway, so we’re cutting it down to one of the cheapest starter placement towers and adding that small cost back across the top path. — Update notes
