Bloontonium Reactor is the Monkey Sub's path 1 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD Battles 2. This upgrade improves its decamo pulse and adds a radioactive pulsing attack that deals 1 Shatter-type damage with 30 pierce within its range, every 0.4 seconds. The pierce of its decamo pulse increases from 75 to 150 and also occurs every 0.4 seconds. Additionally, all water towers in range, including amphibious towers and towers on top of ice platforms, receive 15% faster ability cooldowns while the Reactor is submerged.
Crosspaths improve its submerged attacks:
- Barbed Darts: Pierce of the sonar increases to 180, and the radioactive pulse to 35 pierce.
- Heat-tipped Darts: Pierce of the sonar increases to 225, and the radioactive pulse to 50 pierce.
- Twin Guns: Attack cooldown reduced by 25%, for roughly +33.33% attack speed, reducing the attack cooldown to 0.3 seconds.
- Airburst Darts: Attack cooldown reduced by a further 33.33% (total of 50% reduction), for roughly +50% attack speed (total of +100% attack speed), reducing the attack cooldown to 0.2 seconds.

Reactor offers consistent Bloon-popping of groups but needs additional defense to ensure it isn't overwhelmed by dense swarms. Ocean Obyn is the preferred Hero with Reactor to let it have enough pierce to handle most rushes in combination with his Coral as backup against leaks.
Most of the time, keep the Reactor submerged, since its DPS is much stronger than the basic unimproved dart attack. However, there are two use cases for unsubmerging the Sub: to intentionally leak natural Camos for Heart of Vengeance strategies, and to deal a burst of damage to early MOABs in a pinch with some submerge micro.
Both crosspaths have effective use cases. Path 2 crosspath should be used when the defense has a Lead issue, and this is cheaper than Path 3 crosspaths for substantial stat gains. Path 3 crosspaths should be used for general cleanup, with high enough speed bonuses compared to pierce and is able to reliably break down Ceramic Bloons that linger in its range.
