 An escaping bloon or a lost life gives this Sniper 4x attack speed for a short time in retaliation. Also attacks faster the further the Bloons are along the track.

Elite Defender is the Sniper Monkey's path 3 tier 5 upgrade in Bloons TD Battles 2. It reduces Sniper Monkey's attack cooldown by 50%, effectively doubling its attack speed. Additionally, it gains more attack speed equal to the percentage of the track that the furthest Bloon is at, up to +100%.
Elite Defender also has a passive ability that grants 4× faster attack speed for 7 seconds just before a Bloon leaks to the exit or after losing lives. This ability has a cooldown of 10 seconds. At its maximum attack speed, Elite Defender attacks 16× faster than Full Auto Rifle.
Its base attack cooldown is 0.0592 seconds. However, with enough speed buffs, it is capable of reaching the speed cap for the game.
Just like Full Auto Rifle, Elite Defender's MOAB-class damage increases to +3 with Full Metal Jacket and +4 with Large Calibre.

Elite Defender is best used in Smudge Catt Ezili strategies, as her totem ability has a faster cooldown than normal Ezili and triggers the passive reliably. Elite Defender can be used to defend against round 19-25 types of rushes against anything except Tight rushes.
0-2-5 is usually the preferred crosspath, and although 2-0-5 improves its single-target damage substantially it isn't as efficient as its cleanup from Shrapnel Shot.
