Glaive Ricochet is the Boomerang Monkey's path 1 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD Battles 2. The Boomerang Monkey throws glaives in a straight line instead of a curve, increases the pierce of its glaives from 10 to 40, and allows them to bounce from Bloon to Bloon, with a maximum jump distance of 62.5 units. If the projectile can't find a target within its jumping distance, it disappears.

Strategy
editGlaive Ricochet is a great early-game carry but has a big saveup in a similar way to some alternatives such as Cluster Bombs or Arcane Mastery, with a large saveup at only the T3 upgrade. While its pierce is reliable against all early-game rounds before round 10, its ricochets can still be vulnerable to chasing Bloons at the front instead of pushing back along the Bloons. It is a little more expensive than Kylie Boomerang and Bionic Boomerang but has the advantage of being one upgrade away from MOAR Glaives which solves most Bloon rushes besides Camo and Ceramics.
Glaive Ricochet has an awkward saveup sometimes and may need additional assistance from early-game Heroes such as Quincy or another Boomerang Monkey (to be, often, sold later) to make the transition easier. Whether to crosspath the to-be Ricochet depends on whether round 3-4 rushes are handled well or not, where crosspaths are needed if struggling to groups of spaced rushes before buying Ricochet pre-emptively to carry the rest of the early-game before chasing becomes an issue.
For crosspaths, 3-0-2 crosspath is preferred, with the layer-skipping doing more damage overall compared to the faster attack speed of 3-2-0 which is more vulnerable to layering from Bloon rushes. Transitioning from 2-0-2 can be more difficult against spaced rushes, while 2-2-0 is better transitioned into Bionic Boomerang. Sometimes, the best to begin in early-game is just 2-0-0 into 3-0-0 and then get the crosspaths later.
