Glaives is the Boomerang Monkey's path 1 tier 2 upgrade in Bloons TD Battles 2. Instead of boomerangs, the Boomerang Monkey throws larger glaives that gain +3 pierce, totalling +6 pierce without path 1 upgrades. The pierce bonus given to Kylie Boomerang increases from +3 to +10, totalling +18, and the pierce bonus granted to the heavy kylies of MOAB Press and MOAB Domination are both +120, totalling +220.

Strategy
A significant pierce buff makes it more viable as a further upgrade into the pierce crosspath, especially when given to Bionic Boomerang to carry grouped rounds. The saveup into Glaive Ricochet can still be very steep, however, while Kylie Boomerang generally doesn't favor Glaives unless it has a way around faster rushes to account for downtime. MOAB Press can appreciate from the harder presses and better capability against Tight MOAB rushes, but the pierce bonus is minimal on MOAB Domination due to its already high base pierce.
