Master Bomber (Battles 2)
For the Bloons TD 6 upgrade, see Master Bomber (BTD6).
Master Bomber is the Ninja Monkey's path 3 tier 5 upgrade in Bloons TD Battles 2. This upgrade enhances the Sticky Bomb attack, upgrading it to a black sticky bomb, separate from sticky bombs from the T4. This sticky bomb attack has an attack cooldown of 1.8 seconds and gains infinite range. When attached onto a MOAB-Class Bloon, the sticky bomb stuns the target for 1 second, except BADs, then detonates after 3 seconds; the impact does 1000 damage, and area-of-effect does 200 damage. The Flash Bomb attack does 10 damage instead of 1 and can stun MOAB-class Bloons for 0.25 seconds. The Ninja throws shurikens every 0.55 seconds, reducing the bomb's equivalent cooldown to 1.65 seconds.
With Ninja Discipline, the attack cooldowns are improved to the following:
- Shuriken: 0.385 seconds
- Flash bomb (equivalent): 1.155 seconds
- Sticky bomb: 1.26 seconds

Overall cost reduced by $100 (due to cost changes for previous tiers)
Sticky bomb: explosion damage reduced ― 1,000 → 850- Fixed Master Bomber's sticky bomb using the same art as the previous tier (bug fix)
- Sticky bomb: no longer soaks through MOAB-Class layers if popped before detonating (bug fix)
- Caltrops: duration decreased ― 70s → 25s
“
The basic Caltrops change has been made so that they can pack more of a punch, since previously they often got disregarded as being insignificant. Additionally, they were known for contributing towards lag, especially if you had lots of them, so hopefully the slower attack rate will offer a slight improvement in this area.

- Caltrops: damage increased ― 1 → 3
- 1-0-5, 2-0-5
- Ninja Discipline now reduces Caltrop attack cooldown to 5.6s
“
These changes buff 0xx Ninja upgrades while leaving 1xx Ninja upgrades unchanged. One major reason for this is so that 023 Ninja can be slightly more dependable.

Flash bomb synergizes very well with damage buffs and Ice Shards, making it a powerful early-game upgrade.

Like the Grandmaster Ninja, the Master Bomber is also now a little underpowered. This buff should help it feel more consistent like it used to.
