Tiers Changes
X-4 Overclock
  • Buff Upgrade cost reduced ― $13,500 → $11,000
The Engineer is a good tower with decent use rates, but we hope to encourage players to use the Overclock ability rather than the (more popular) Bloontrap[sic] with this change.

X-4 Overclock
  • Buff Upgrade cost reduced ― $11,000 → $7,500
Much like the Heli-Pilot,[sic] this change means that you'll now need to wait the full cooldown period before using the ability again.

X-4 Overclock
  • Nerf Ability: cooldown now starts after selecting a tower instead of upon activation
We think the Engineer is pretty balanced overall, but we've tweaked a couple of prices to bring them more in line with the power of the upgrade.

We feel like the Engineer is a solid tower, but might be slightly too expensive for what you get. A slight tweak of its base cost, and the cost of it's[sic] Larger Service Area upgrade, should give it that bit more value. We've also reduced the price of the Overclock ability since it's less powerful than it is in BTD 5 for the same cost.
