Banana Research Facility, also known as a BRF or Facility, is the Banana Farm's path 1 tier 4 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It produces five banana crates per round instead of bananas. Each crate is worth $300, so it produces a total of $1,500 per round. With Valuable Bananas, each crate is worth $375 and it produces a total of $1,875 per round, and with 
More Valuable Bananas, each crate is worth $390 and it produces a total of $1,950 per round. Additionally, Banana Research Facilities gain a buff from Banana Central which grants them a +25% buff to all crates.

Strategy
Although it has a high up-front cost and requires upgrading a weak tier 3, Banana Research Facility is one of the best Banana Farms available. They are buffed extremely effectively by Overclock, which grants it an 80% increase in cash production for only about 60% of the cost. This means when using Facilities, it is advantageous to purchase an Overclock for each Facility to keep them all overclocked. Monkey City and Geraldo's Fertilizer further increase its production greatly. Banana Research Facility also synergies with Banana Central, receiving a +25% bonus to production when one is on the map.
To afford the high up front cost, it is advisable to purchase Monkey Banks or Marketplaces as they both are superior to the Banana Plantation in cost efficiency.
As the most expensive tier 4 Banana Farm, Banana Research Facility is the best option to sacrifice to Monkeyopolis per Farm if opting for maximum income. The 4-2-0 crosspath is the most expensive crosspath of that upgrade.
Crosspathing
It is almost always best to buy Valuable Bananas, as it increases cash production significantly. The only practical use case for Banana Salvage is if one is planning on selling the Facility in just a few rounds. Uncrosspathed BRF is only necessary in certain Least Tiers challenges.
402 Banana Research Facility is better than 024 Central Market assuming that you have Banana Central's +25% bonus to production.[1]
