True Sun God is the Super Monkey's path 1 tier 5 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. This upgrade increases the damage of its sunbeam to 15. Like the Sun Temple, upgrading to the True Sun God sacrifices all towers in the Sun Temple's range, except for Paragons, Heroes and Powers. This allows it to receive another set of sacrifice benefits that stack with the ones it had when it was a Sun Temple. The benefits have the same cash requirements as a Sun Temple, but unlike one, it can receive benefits from all four categories at once.

If the True Sun God is placed over water (via any land platform, such as the ice platform from an Arctic Wind or Silas), it can receive the Attack speed buff from a Carrier Flagship. For more information about the interactions of this tower with frozen water, see Frozen water interactions.

The There Can Be Only One Monkey Knowledge allows the creation of a more powerful version of this tower when the upgrade is purchased if a specific set of conditions is fulfilled, called the VTSG (short for Vengeful True Sun God).

True Sun God is a staple in Freeplay, being the upgrade with the highest cost in the game, bringing irreplaceable DPS and support to other towers. In Boss Event, although Paragons are the more popular choice, this upgrade still has use either in setup with limited to no Paragon, or to speed up extreme farming progress.

If using mainly for the DPS, player should aim to get the VTSG if possible, put it in the water for the tower to get water tower only buff, and use support temple and other buff to maximise the DPS. Depend on the strategy, True Sun God can be pairs with Adora or Ezili for the buff they give. If Legend of the Night is desirable, player can stop at True Sun God. Like Sun Temple, most of the time there is little reason to not maximize the sacrifices of all categories, but there are cases where True Sun God used only for farming for the cash from bloons and discount benefit of Support sacrifice.
