The Herald of Everfrost is the upcoming Paragon for the Ice Monkey in Bloons TD 6, to be introduced in version 52.0. It is a combination of Super Brittle, Absolute Zero and Icicle Impale.
It has two main attacks:
- Ice Lance Beam: The Paragon launches a large ice attack with a very high pierce that travels in a straight line and freezes all Bloons that it hits for 10s, leaving a trail of 6 giant ice shards as it moves through the air and Bloons that survive the attack grow icicles which damages other Bloons that make contact with them.
- Snowstorm Roar: This is a map-wide effect that freezes and applies permafrost (speed reduction) to all Bloons below a BAD, removes Camo and Regrow properties and applies a debuff that makes all affected Bloons to take +10 damage from all attacks with an additional +40 damage from attacks that deal Cold, Frigid, or Glacier-type damage. This debuff can stack with Embrittlement and Super Brittle, it also affects BADs and Boss Bloons which will show a visual effect, but their speed is not reduced.
When attacking, the Paragon will alternate between 3 Ice Lance Beams and 1 Snowstorm Roar, either attack is only used when Bloons are in range. Like any other Ice Monkey it is amphibious and can create ice platforms in water for land towers globally.
Additionally, it has an activated ability called Eclipse of Fimbulwinter which after being activated causes a visual effect that darkens the entire map and after 5s it freezes all Bloons on the screen for 10s and can also affect BADs and Boss Bloons, freezing and slowing them down for 5s. It has a cooldown of 128s and can only be used once per round.
It also has an special effect on bosses, where if it a skull is triggered while they are frozen, the skull's effect will be negated, but the Boss will thaw early, specific interactions with bosses are as follows:
- Bloonarius: Does not spawn or scatter any other Bloons.
- Lych: Lych-soul and chained MOABs do not appear, Lych also does not enter into an immunity phase.
- Vortex: It does not create a shield or stun towers, but the knockback is nullified, so it remains on place.
- Dreadbloon: It stays in its current immunity, and skips the ceramic shield which also stops the spawn of Dreadrock Bloons. It cannot skip the first skull since it is immune to Primary attacks at that point, but if the second skull is skipped, it will keep being immune to Military attacks and the last skull will change its immunity to Magic so the Tier does not Support immunity phase at all.
- Phayze: Prevents the warp, keeping the Bloon spawn portal in its current position and also prevents it from setting up its Reality Shield.
- Blastapopoulos: Does not spawn fireballs or pyroclastic rocks and its heat bar is not increased by 25%.
