The Banana Plantation is usually a poor choice compared to the other tier 3 farms, [[Monkey Bank (BTD6)|Monkey Bank]] and [[Marketplace (BTD6)|Marketplace]]. This is because the Monkey Bank provides significantly more cash on average, and the Marketplace provides the same amount of cash while costing less, selling for more, and automatically collecting bananas. It is virtually never a good idea to buy multiple Banana Plantations rather than Marketplaces or Banks instead.

However, its subsequent upgrade [[Banana Research Facility (BTD6)|Banana Research Facility]] is very strong, and the main reason to purchase Banana Plantation is as a stepping stone to the Facility.
