Deep Freeze is only recommended as a crosspath, as its small pierce bonus, extra freeze layer, and extra freeze duration do not significantly improve on the capabilities of {{BTD6|Enhanced Freeze}}. For crosspathing purposes, it is recommended for Ice Shards, since it does greatly improve the total numbers of shards, for Cryo Cannon and Icicles when innate [[Camo Bloon (BTD6)|Camo]] detection is not needed for them, and for {{BTD6|Icicle Impale}} when both external Camo and {{BTD6|Acidic Mixture Dip}} can be obtained. Embrittlement and {{BTD6|Super Brittle}} do not benefit significantly from Deep Freeze, besides improving shards (also allowing Embrittlement to self-shard in the absence of external speed buffs), thus only crosspathing to Enhanced Freeze is generally adequate for them.
