Soulbind was the Wizard Monkey's path 3 tier 5 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It was replaced by Prince of Darkness in Version 2.0, and uses the same sprites and artwork.

Soulbind is the same as Necromancer: Unpopped Army at initial release, but now gains the Soulbind ability. All towers targeted by this ability are sacrificed for lives at a fixed rate once the player loses all their lives. This ability has a 10 second cooldown.

The editor who added this notice elaborates: Add more references and background to Soulbind's history

Soulbind was developed as an early version of what would be replaced with Prince of Darkness, which has the same models and artwork, but an entirely new upgrade description and functionality. Rohan Spibo regretted removing Soulbind, citing that he is able to rebalance it.[1]

Artwork and sounds were reused, as well as re-adapted. The sound for activating Soulbind ability is reused for Magus Perfectus's Arcane Metamorphosis ability. The sprite for a soulbound tower is revamped into part of the interface for Adora Blood Sacrifice.
