The Desert Phantom is the Desperado's path 3 tier 5 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. All its attacks gain significant stat benefits, and shrapnel produces a fiery explosion when expired.
Shotgun pellets deal 10 damage and +10 damage to MOAB-Class Bloons, knock back MOAB-Class Bloons at -100% speed and all others at -200% speed. The shrapnel projectiles now have 10 pierce, deal 3 damage, and inflict a damage over time effect that deals 10 damage every 1.5 seconds for 9 seconds. Additionally, if a Bloon hit by shrapnel is popped within 4.5 seconds, it generates an explosion that deals 5 fire-type damage, +5 damage to Ceramic Bloons, to up to 3 Bloons within its radius (which cannot have its pierce buffed).
The damage of the pistol attack is increased from 12 to 20 with +20 damage to Ceramics with an attack cooldown of 0.6 seconds.

Desert Phantom is strong and highly buffable for its cost. It works exceptionally against slow-moving groups of blimps and bloons when allowed to fire along a straight line from up close to the Bloons, and when buffed by a Stronger Stimulant. Its Tier 4 also serves a strong stepping stone.
