Blade Shooter is the Tack Shooter's path 2 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It replaces sharp tacks with large high-pierce blades. The upgrade increases pierce from 4 to 8 (10 with 
Poppy Blades), increases range from 31 to 46 units (around a 2.2× increase from base tier), projectile radius increases from 0 to 4,[fn 1] and changes its damage type from Sharp to Shatter, allowing it to pop frozen Bloons (if 
Hard Tacks is active, there is no change).

Strategy
Blade Shooter's high pierce for its cost makes it valuable against constant waves of ordinary Bloons, especially for early-game in Race Events and CT Time Attack. However, it falls behind in any non-continuous game mode, especially CHIMPS, not often needing to maximize pierce and other options (e.g. Ring of Fire) fulfilling more efficient grouped damage in the mid-game. Ideally, place Blade Shooter where all blades can hit the Bloons.
Compared to other T3 Tacks, Blade Shooter is better when wanting high pierce right away, but often outclassed by the other T3 Tacks unless wanting to progress to Blade Maelstrom. 3-2-0 Hot Shots' layer-skipping for half as much pierce is more efficient overall without Blade Shooter's Poppy Blades MK. On the other hand, standalone Blade is more efficient pierce-wise than any Tack Sprayer crosspath, and the large range buff allows Blade to attack sooner.
For crosspaths, the top crosspaths are generally better for the greater attack speed, while bottom crosspaths are niche if needing extra popping power for cheap, or if going for a longer-duration Blade Maelstrom or Super Maelstrom.
