Hot Shots is the Tack Shooter's path 1 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It increases damage from 1 to 3 and grants the ability to pop Lead and Frozen Bloons, although Tack Shooters can already pop Frozen with Hard Tacks.

Strategy

Hot Shots serves as a decent early-game, being very solid on maps with good bends but lacking on maps without them. Its high base damage makes it excel at groups or singular targets depending on its crosspaths.

3-2-0 should be used against groups, being optimal for general gameplay and in the absence of flat pierce buffs. This crosspath shines in Races, handling rushes consistently and transitions well into Ring of Fire, which is exceptionally strong in Races. Compared to Blade Shooter, some edge cases with starting cash may make that T3 sometimes more optimal to access the bonus pierce immediately, but otherwise 3-2-0 Hot Shots is more efficient in DPS per cost.

3-0-2 does better single-target damage than 2-0-3 when excluding blimp debuffs. Its best use case is against Blastapopoulos in Boss Rush, but remains a strong spammable option in combination with pierce buffs including Primary Mentoring (for free T1's as well).
